When it comes to proven design performance in commercial structures, including office buildings, schools, churches, apartments, retail facilities, and community buildings, SIPs are unparalleled. Not only can panels be set in place within hours, but once the building shell is closed in it is ready for interior framing, plumbing, heating, cooling, and drywall. The drywall application is made simpler by the continuous interior nailing surface. Window and door openings can be pre-cut at the manufacturing plant according to your plans. Openings can also easily be made on site. R-Control SIPs can be custom fabricated to your current design no matter how simple or complex.
R-Control SIPs work great with other green and energy efficient products such as Radiant Floor Heating Systems and are extremely compatible with our Eagle Rigid Spans which can clear span out to 120’.
R-Control Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs)
R-Control® SIPs are an extremely strong structural system consisting of Perform Guard® Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) insulation laminated to oriented strand board (OSB) and coated with FrameGuard forming structural panels used for walls, roofs and floors. R-Control SIPs resist loads caused by wind, snow, and seismic activity as well as termite, mold & mildew resistant. SIPs also resist twisting, warping, and racking and will produce a straight, consistently flat wall every time you build.
Perform Guard is exclusive to R-Control. It is made by a patented process using an inorganic mineral that is a natural deterrent to termites and incorporating it during the manufacturing process. Perform Guard has been thoroughly tested, is safe, noncorrosive and nontoxic. It is registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
Frame Guard is a protective coat of organic fungicides and a borate compound. The organic compounds remain close to the surface to provide the protection against mold and mildew while the borate component penetrates the wood providing protection against both decay and termites.

R-Control SIPs can be used with a variety of architectural designs, resulting in the best home or commercial building you can construct. They are especially cost-effective when optimum strength, comfort, performance, and energy efficiency are demanded by the building owner, designer, and builder. Once SIP installation is complete, interior finishings, exterior claddings, and roofing applications are simplified by the continuous nailing surface of SIPs.
R-Control SIPs are available in sizes from 4′ x 8′ to 8′ x 24′ and in a variety of thicknesses to achieve required R-values. 9’ x 24’ panels are available by special order. R-Control panels can be fabricated in the manufacturing facility to your specifications. Prefabrication can minimize construction time, ensure accuracy, and minimize the amount of waste on site.
SIPs are created using a process called pressure laminating. Pressure laminating is done under precise, carefully controlled conditions at the manufacturing plant. Stringent testing is done on a continuous basis to ensure performance. Panels are factory made to the exact standards of the SIP Quality Control Program. This demanding program is monitored by UL to ensure that panels provide proven reliability and consistent quality. R-Control SIPs are widely recognized as a leader in the industry.

Eagle Rigid Spans
Eagle Rigid Spans are an engineer certified box beam system that can clear span up to 120’ with wall heights up to 32’. The roof pitch for these structures can range from 3/12 to 12/12. This creates large open spaces perfect for commercial businesses, garages, airplane hangers, schools, gyms, churches, machine storage and arenas. They are built with wood so they are renewable and are less susceptible to thermal bridging than steel structures.
